Melissa + Dan
I am finally getting the chance to post about all of the weddings and projects that I've been hard at work on in the last six months, and what an awesome wedding to kick off the blogging extravaganza!
Melissa and Dan (appropriately) met while at a friend's wedding abroad, in Cancun, Mexico. The night they met, the two talked about all of the places they hoped to one day travel to. Little did they know that this conversation would lead them both on an adventure of a lifetime. (True story: their first seven dates were in seven different countries!!!)
It was a blast working with this well-traveled and long-distance couple! Half of their emails to me start out with "Hello, from [Sri Lanka, Bangkok, Bali, Hong Kong, Quebec, etc.]". Despite their crazy travel schedules and the time differences, we somehow found a way to make things work, including Saturday conference calls from airport lounges in between flights, haha.
Congratulations Melissa and Dan! May your journey together continue to lead you to new heights!
Melissa's vision for her wedding was vintage meets Asian jazz! She incorporated travel souvenirs- vases, bird cage, silk table runners- on their tablescapes. We used this as inspiration and incorporated a desert sunset color palette, bold patterns, and an Asian lotus flower motif throughout all of their pieces.
